what a day...

it all started at 2:50 am in the morning when i decided to cycle to work... it's about 23 km one way.. before i left i dropped my guess watch and the glass shattered... knew i should have left it on the floor... when it dropped... couldn't have prevented it... but could'ave at least stalled it...hahaha... cylced to work... once i got to pasir ris drv 12... had a flat tire... what perfect timing... was travelling light so didn't bring my spare tube or pump... hailed a cab and had someone pick me up at the gate...of my base... yeeesh and the day isn't over yet... what else could happen huh....!!!

Blast from the past

Was at work today... in the tool store... fixing something... since I work with all these old men the preferred choice for radio is gold 90.5... there's nothing wrong with the station...it's just that I’m not ready for retirement yet... so I was near the radio... when this song came on... and this is the first time in my life that I’ve ever heard this song played on the radio...I started tearing and I had to walk to the back so no one would see me... as I saw clear as day all the time's I heard that song sung to me by aunty molly. I dried my eyes went back to the radio then put my phone to it to record it... then this fucker of a colleague started making this piercing screaming sound just to disrupt the already muffled recording... I saw red... then I took my phone away... and went to the back of the store... where I called the station and spoke to the DJ where he asked how I knew the song... after he told me the name of the singer and the song title ( Millie small - my boy lollipop! ) I told him that when I was a kid I had an aunt who sang it to me... and I told him that I love her and missed her... then what does he say....??? hmmmmmm aunt... hmmmm boy lollipop... hmmm... was she hot...!!!! WALAU......... I was like WHAT THE FUCK MAN!!! but... since I was already angry with a colleague who was more tangible than a voice on the radio.... I let it slide.... And I found out what the song was called and who sang it...

just watched in the Ansley village cinema... ie home... with vince and jo... bloody marvellous movie.. brilliant... so which guy would i be... i know... exactly which one i'd be... the guy who watches the girl he loves madly marry someone else... kindovan irony...

point to ponder.

today i sat in the cab of an diesel tanker, to escort the driver into the base, inside his cab what greeted me was completely unexpected... i wasn't greeted by your usual porn pin up's as i usually would be...or car's at the least... along with the porn... this guy was a new guy to this company... he had a little make shift alter.. of some buddhist origin and he had jasmine flowers on the alter... just below the alter i saw a picture...figured it was his three kids...
so out of curiosity i asked him... your kids? while pointing to the pic... he nodded... and smiled... we talked a little.. then he went on his way... before he left i asked him how he maneged... three kids and a wife.. that wasn't working... he simply said.. that he was contended... quite a big word.. i thought... considering we were both speaking in a mix of english and hokkien... but the look on his face told me he was...

Good gawd.... a collegue of mine was sent out today to buy something... Supposedlya surprise for everyone... and it was a surprise.... a revolting one... he came back with more than fifty durian's.... man what a stench....... that hangar is gonna smell for weeks to come.... peeeeuuuuu...
io got as far as i could as fast as i could..... but it still ruined my appetite... so that's preety much it... went to town to pass ling back her cd... then low and behold... who do i bump into.. mark..... we ahd a drink at nydc and just talked .... been really busy... well not exactly busy but...my new hours are not normal hours...so..it's a strain... on meeting or going out with any of my friends...
what happens next, what happens next..... i dare you to move ( listening to the radio now....)

man there really nothing to watch on 5... gawd forbid another local production...

met abs van and chris just now... swam... personal best of twenty laps in 31 mins.... wow... but of course the two dolphins ( Abs and Van) were already done by then... crap.....!!! :) heh heh

to Gripe or not to gripe

just had a bath .... Pheeeew..... what a feeling....!!! hahaha ( look no flies....)

Here are two scenarios’ both separately simply tell a tale… but together they put time into perspective…

First one.. I went to see a private doctor about my leg and was sent for an x-ray, went for it the next day and subsequently went back to my doc the following day, she sees it tells me that there’s nothing wrong and she’d refer me to an orthopedist…. Make’s the appointment for me and it’s the following day at Changi General .Hosp.

(This only happened because I was told that my company wouldn’t claim’s for referral’s to specialist by GP’s [private doctor’s] so I had to get a referral from a polyclinic doctor)

Second one.. I went to see a polyclinic doctor about my leg and and used the existing x-ray ….He looked at it told me nothing was wrong and made an appointment for me with an orthopedist at???? (Yup you guessed it) Changi general… but get this appointment is in the 28/07/05 and that’s the earliest…. According to them….

So what happens to your average Joe… will he get medical attention in time.. Beat’s me…


Went for a ride… third one this week… average a twenty k/m distance for a start… but doesn’t feel like it really count’s… there are apparently a lot of traffic light’s… have to bring up the cycling and swimming… no choice… can’t run…. Crap… feel like a paraplegic…

something strange happend on my way out of the poly... bumped into someone... was just strange... (winks.. yep i'm talkin bout you...) germaine... ( in a politically correct way of course....) hahaha
